Minister’s Wives Retreat

May 18 through 20, 2018

Come be a part of the Ministers’ Wives Retreat. This retreat, at the beautiful Jenness Park in the Sierra Nevada mountains, is a highlight weekend for ministers’ wives from throughout California. Women come to seek friendships with other ministers’ wives, find support through prayer partners, share ideas for ministry and be pampered by the Jenness Park staff. You will leave encouraged and ready for the joys and challenges of ministry. Whether you come with a group or by yourself, be assured that you will be welcomed and encouraged. Whether you come with a group or not knowing anyone; be assured that you will be welcomed and encouraged. The retreat is open to any woman whose husband is a vocational minister, including wives and widows or full-time, part-time, or retired ministerial church staff (e.g., associate pastors, music, youth or education ministers), vocational chaplains, college/seminary students or faculty/staff and denominational staff.
The retreat has elements that will appeal to any personality or need:

  • inspiring worship
  • helpful breakout seminars
  • powerful speakers and leaders
  • energizing fellowship
  • fun recreational opportunities
  • interesting people
  • the best camp food anywhere
  • down time, if you choose (lots of down time!)

Theme – Anchored

Save the date for a time to reaffirm that your Soul is Anchored where it should be, in Christ and His firm and secure control. Life circumstances can cause us to be tattered and worn. We all need time to get away from the storm. This is such a time! Be pampered, encouraged and deepen your anchor in His control.

Theme Verse – Hebrews 6:19 “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.”

Keynote Speaker –

Rhonda Stoppe has been the wife of a minister for over 30 years and has joyfully
mentored minister’s wives for nearly 20 years. At their ranch in Northern California
Rhonda and her husband, Steve, provide one-on-one marriage mentoring to
ministry couples in crisis. She gets it!

Rhonda is the author of four books including Mom’s Raising Sons to Be Men and
I Sleep with the Pastor. She has two more books premiering in 2018.

Through humor and honest communication, she helps women become the pastors’
wives and godly women they long to be.

Worship Leader –

Lisa Daniels is a loving wife and mother who loves to worship the Lord. She started
leading worship at the age of 13 at Victory Christian Center Church. She also served
as choir director and youth ministry leader.

In June 2016, God led Lisa and her family to the Bayview Baptist Church where currently serves with the worship team.

Through leading worship and teaching God’s Word, Lisa has learned that her feelings of
inadequacy do not have a place in His presence and it is her mission to inspire and
encourage everyone to believe in themselves and that they too are fearfully and wonderfully made.
