Jenness Park Supports Family Spiritual Growth

In a culture where Christian families seem to be under spiritual attack, Jenness Park Christian Camp desires to share the good news of Jesus Christ and to support the spiritual development of families. This year, there have been 411 first time commitments to Christ at Jenness Park. In October two weekends were dedicated to building Biblical families. Both weekends held a western flavor.

The Mother/Daughter camp was attended by 184 ladies of all ages. The theme was, “Wanted: Holy Children of God.” The speaker, Sheryl Giesbrecht, encouraged women to know that in Christ they are able to turn from their past and become new creations who are valued and cherished by God. A mother and daughter team made first time professions of faith in Jesus.
The attendance at this year’s Jenness Park Home School Family tripled from the previous year with 295 guests. The western themed weekend featured speakers Reb and Beverly Bradley. Reb encouraged the families to not only focus on the particulars of homeschool strategies but to also focus the way God has uniquely gifted each person in a family for a reason. Families were able to have fun together in uniquely western activities like candle dipping, butter churning, gold panning, and leather working.
