Outdoor Education for Christian Schools

Jenness Park Christian Camp and Genesis Account have partnered together to bring an excellent outdoor science program for Christian Schools. We desire to help students draw closer to Christ by helping them understand His creation. Jenness Park is excited to bring the classroom outside!

Our program is designed to increase the students’ awareness of God’s love through a better understanding of His Creation. It also allows the students to deepen their relationships with peers and their classroom teacher.

Curriculum for fourth (4th) through eighth (8th) grades is taught by our instructors, who also provide the spiritual emphasis that undergirds our academic program.

“Genesis Account Outdoor Schools is probably the broadest and most highly developed outdoor education program designed specifically for Christian Schools and camps. The Genesis Account curriculum reflects thorough study by persons trained ..both in the Bible ..and outdoor education”.

God’s Good Earth & Christian Values in Outdoor Education

Take a look at the curriculum and see how well it works with your school.

School Retreats

Located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Jenness Park is the perfect place for school retreats that are focused on outdoor education or teambuilding. Our rugged setting is great for experiencing God’s creation through adventure recreation, science activities, hiking trips, star gazing, and visiting local geological sites. We offer a 10% special discount for schools that would like to rent our facilities for their educational retreat. We can provide packed lunches so that you can take day trips to local sites and lakes in the Stanislaus National Forest. Check out Gold Prospecting Adventures and experience gold prospecting in the Mother Lode, also visit our links page to see some of our favorite local attractions.

Outdoor Education and Teambuilding Opportunities

We have helped facilitate “hands on” outdoor education classes in Earth Science and Life Science for schools that would like to provide a ‘hands-on’ and immersive learning experience for their students. We can help you organize a program that will best suit your schools needs, or you can rent our facilities and take advantage of our location and dining options. Our staff will help you organize and facilitate a program that utilizes our Adventure Recreation and Team Building in a refreshing outdoor environment. Within the context of Christian values, we will guide you through the process of identifying the unique leadership abilities that we all have been blessed with, and help you create strategies for developing and utilizing the diversity your group possesses.
